The star has handed over the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound honor winnings to the Music Venues Trust, which works to protect the Britain's grassroots live music spots.
He was given the cheque on mid-October as his third album People Watching was named the best record of the past year.
The musician has decided to donate the funds to the MVT, in acknowledgment of the vital role grassroots venues played in his initial steps.
"I personally couldn't be pursuing this success if it weren't for all the shows I performed around the North East, and beyond, when I was just getting going," stated the artist. "These venues are legendary, but they are facing challenges."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these locations have ceased operations – about 16% of the total UK scene.
In the last year, major artists such as Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all aided the MVT in its efforts to help venues survive, by including a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which benefits smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also participated, generating more than £100,000 on his recent tour to support thirty-eight local spots across the UK.
The money supported venues that were confronting potential shutdown due to issues caused by floods, fires and bereavements, as well as licensing issues, legal disputes and noise complaints.
Other venues were granted financial assistance in upgrading facilities and technical equipment that positively impacted performers and fans.
"The concept that funds from concerts in large arenas supports the smaller venues, where it begins for performers like me, is just logical," Fender has commented.
The musician is not the first artist to give his award funds to worthy causes.
When the band received the award in the mid-90s for their album Different Class, frontman Jarvis Cocker declared that the band would contribute their prize money to the organization War Child.
In 2002, musician she shared her award among a few organizations, including the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.

In recent years, the band donated their funds to the local youth club that nurtured their band, alongside other independent music bodies.
And the 1994 recipients they gave their prize to a charity for MS after a close contact was found to have the disease.
"Winning was sufficient," remarked vocalist the singer. "The money was the extra but we didn't require the extra, because we had the main prize. So our winning touched another person's life."
In the past week, the MVT announced it had protected two grassroots venues in the South East, by transferring them to local control.
The Joiners in the city and The Croft in Bristol were bought under the community ownership initiative, which is backed by the arts council and supporters who acquire "shares" in the venues.
